CAMPUS ANIMAL RESOURCES (CAR)

Campus Animal Resources (CAR), a component of the Animal Care Program, serves the animal care needs for all MSU personnel. There are three units responsible for the care of animals used in research and teaching: University Laboratory Animal Resources (ULAR), the CVM Vivarium, and the University Farms.
The on-campus University Farms are operated by the Animal Science Department and the College of Veterinary Medicine while the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station is responsible for the off-campus farms. The Attending Veterinarian oversees veterinary care in all three major units of CAR.
